Roman began his martial arts career at the very early age of 12, training full contact Kyokushinkai Karate. Shortly there after while training under Shihan Piwowarski (6dan black belt) he received his black belt
At the age of 17 he became a permanent member of the Polish national kickboxing team, winning the full contact Polish national championship on two separate occasions. He went on to participate in over 25 fights fighting under World Amateur Kickboxing Organization rules.
While in school studying physical education with a specialty in kickboxing he trained with the Polish national boxing team. From that point his focus went on to Muay Thai where he studied under Willy Donner in Poland for 2 years. He then went on to train under the world famous Chakuriki academy of Muay Thai in Holland.
Satisfying his thirst for knowledge and travel he moved from country to country training with only the best in kickboxing and Muay Thai, then to end up in Toronto where he began training with some of the best fighters Canada has to offer.
After a short while he once again felt the need to be challenged which led him to Latin America to establish “Roman combat Academy” in Costa Rica. While there he was able to take time to travel to Japan and Brazil to train with the acclaimed Chute Boxe academy in Curitiba where he earned the nickname “low kick professor”.
Recently Roman made the decision to move back to Toronto, ON to become a part of Elite Training Centre where he now helps develop those interested in entering competition and newcomers in the sport improve and learn the practical skills of fighting he has honed over the years.
